It's tough to admit, but there is another blog that deals exclusively with the Absent Teacher Reserve, and it's awful darn good. It's called The Traveling ATR (travatr.blogspot.com) and it should be required reading (together with NYCATR) for anyone who wants to understand what it means to be an ATR teacher.
He seems to be mirroring my wanderings as an ATR!
ReplyDeleteI am an ATR Psychologist who is asked to cover the media room in a High School. There are more than 8 students in the room. Psychologists are not teachers and are only allowed to be with up to 8 students. Also, I am asked to read and scribe tests for groups of students which is also not part of a psychologist's job.
